 NCTS The National Car Testing Service Ltd. (NCTS) is responsible for the implementation and operation of the car testing service in Ireland. The NCT was introduced in Ireland on 4th January 2000. In the year 2000 over 400,000 cars were tested. PrintPost was asked to tender for the printing of Notifications for NCT testing and successfully secured the contract. There were three main issues that were of primary importance to the NCTS. 1. The level of security a third party organisation could offer. 2. Speed of printing and reliability of service 3. The Technical capability of the third party to handle the printing and enveloping requirements effectively. In November 1999 PrintPost successfully issued the first of the NCT provisional booking letters.
